Bali Beginnings: 31 Hours to Paradise
Bali Beginnings: 31 Hours to Paradise
After 31 hours of travel we landed in Bali, sleepy but exhilarated. We started in Kuta, hitting the beach to shake off the jet lag and trying our hand at surfing. Between temple visits and nasi goreng meals, we were enchanted by the island’s spirituality and scenery. Sunset at Uluwatu Temple with monkeys scampering nearby was a highlight. Bali taught us that long journeys are worth the reward.
Family travel tip: Bali can be crowded; choose a mix of bustling areas like Seminyak and quiet ones like Ubud. Respect local customs—cover shoulders at temples and avoid pointing feet at offerings. Balance beach days with cultural excursions.
