Kaohsiung discoveries: science museums and seaside nights
In Kaohsiung we spent hours at the National Science and Technology Museum, where interactive exhibits entertained the kids and sparked curiosity. Evenings were for sampling papaya milk and seafood at the Liuhe night market and strolling along the Love River with its harbour breeze. The city’s harbour vibe and cultural scene were a refreshing change.
Family travel tip: Plan museum visits during midday heat, try local specialties like milkfish soup and papaya milk and take a ferry ride to Cijin island for beaches and street food.
