Dubai Day 1: Desert Thrills and Cultural Feasts

We kicked off our Dubai adventure with a bang. In the morning we went dune bashing in 4×4 vehicles, screaming with delight as we slid down golden sands. We rode camels at sunset, then sat cross‑legged on carpets under the stars, tasting shawarma, hummus and sweet dates while watching tanoura and belly dancers. The boys tried henna and learned to blow into a shisha pipe (with no tobacco) just for fun. Our first day set the tone for a trip full of contrasts—ancient traditions next to modern marvels.

Family travel tip: Desert safaris are a must in Dubai, but choose operators with strong safety records and child‑friendly options. Wear loose, light clothing and bring jackets for cool evenings. Respect cultural norms at dinner shows and explain them to your children.
