El Salvador, Part 4: Tamanique Waterfalls & Los Chorros

Hiked out to the Tamanique waterfalls, which turned into more of a workout than expected — down through jungle switchbacks with mountain views opening up along the way, worth every step. The falls themselves drop into a deep green pool, and of course, there were guys cliff jumping off the rocks on the side for anyone brave enough (we watched, mostly). Axel was our bravest soul and did the highest jump.

From there, we headed to Los Chorros, which is basically a natural spring turned into a full-on water park — turquoise pools, a shooting fountain in the middle that the boys treated like a free power-wash, and a little waterfall ledge perfect for sitting under and pretending to meditate (Axel committed to the bit). Broke out the Insta360 for this one and got some fisheye shots that make the whole canyon look like its own planet.

Crowded, hot, and completely worth it. Water this good makes you forget the rest of the trip even had a storm in it.
