Siargao surf and island magic
Siargao surf and island magic
On Siargao Island we discovered why it’s called the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. The tear‑drop shaped island offers reef breaks like Cloud 9, where we watched surfers ride thick, hollow waves. We also biked through coconut groves, swam in rock pools and chatted with friendly locals in General Luna.
Family travel tip: Visit during dry season for calmer seas, book surfing lessons for beginners and explore tide pools at low tide.
Would your kids try surfing or prefer tide pools? Our Siargao itinerary balances surf sessions with relaxing island time.
