Zip‑Lining Through Monteverde’s Clouds

Zip‑Lining Through Monteverde’s Clouds

Zip‑Lining Through Monteverde’s Clouds

Three miles of cables. That’s how much air time we clocked zip‑lining above Monteverde’s cloud forest over two days. At 3,400 feet, the longest line felt like flying; even our youngest, Axel, went back for seconds. From up high we saw layers of emerald canopy fade into mist—no wonder it’s called a cloud forest. Zip‑lining together taught us to trust the harness, our guides and each other.

Family travel tip: Choose zip‑line operators with solid safety records and minimum age/weight requirements. Encourage kids to try but never force them. Pack rain jackets—Monteverde’s mist is constant—and indulge in hot cocoa afterwards at a local café to warm up.
